LAIKA – A FUNLOVING GIRL WHO DESERVES TRUE LOVE
Laika arrived at the pound in September 2018 and was approximately 2.5 years old on arrival. She is a female crossbreed who was literally dumped at the pound by her owner.
Height: approximately 47cm Weight: approximately 16kg
We are stunned by what has happened to poor Laika. She was adopted from the pound in January 2017 by a man who everyone believed would give her a good home. He took her for her follow up appointments at the vet and said all the right things. However one Saturday morning in September 2018 he returned to the pound saying he no longer wanted the dog. He was asked to return with her on Monday when the office was open, his response being to tie her to the gate, throw her passport on the floor and walk off without looking back. It appears that this cruel man has not only abandoned his dog but while he had her he had her ears cut off and she has an injury on the top of her head as if she has been beaten with something. We just cannot understand the cruelty of some people and sometimes we cannot understand how dogs can be so forgiving. Laika is a happy little girl who loves to play with a ball or two or three. She looks like a Staffie cross. She is such a funny, fun little girl who gets on well with other dogs, loves people and now needs a home where she will be adored.

Laika is available for adoption in Germany, UK, Sweden, Finland, Holland, Spain and many other countries. Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment.
Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 150E. Adoption costs to the UK £350, this includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier(using the TRACES system) by road direct to your door. We sort all the arrangements for you.
