MARIO – LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE!

That is Mario’s motto and that is what you will do if he becomes a member of your family. This fun little guy will bring hours of entertainment and is a member of the welcoming committee at the pound. He gets on with all dogs and every day he wakes up with a positive attitude, ready to face the day. He knows which is his cage and hops in when it’s time to be shut away. He walks well on the lead and has such a happy disposition that you can’t help but love him.

UPDATE JANUARY 2019

Comments from a volunteer who walked him ‘enthusiastic, happy & energetic. He loved sniffing around & had a mini play fight with Antonia. She just ignored him! A friendly boy who came to me when called. Good on the lead as he only pulled a little bit, but he got a bit tangled up a couple of times as he got all enthusiastic, racing here & there. Not an issue though.’

Give him a home and he will be your best friend

Amigo arrived at the pound in March 2018 and was approximately 9 years old on arrival. He is a large male Labrador who was handed into the pound by his owner.

Height: approximately 65cm  Weight: approximately 35kg

Another loyal companion dumped at the pound during his twilight years. Who knows why. Maybe he got in the way, maybe they bought a younger version, maybe they got bored of him. What we do know is that poor Amigo does not deserve to be in the pound and is finding the whole situation very stressful and traumatic. He is a large, strong dog who will need to be placed with someone with experience. But he is a good boy and should be easy to train and really all he wants is to play, go for walks, eat, sleep and cuddle. Not too much to ask considering what he will give back in return.

Here he is in his own video in May 2019
