PIPA – A TRUE GEM

Pipa arrived at Los Barrios pound in March 2022 and was about 2 years old on arrival. She is a gorgeous cross breed that was found presumably abandoned in the streets and brought to the pound. She arrived in a horrific state and tested positive for Leishmania.

Pipa is in foster, her foster mum tells us: Hi! I’m Pipa, a beautiful cross breed. Likely, in February 2022 I’ve been rescued from the street, where I was not having the best time of my life. A blood test confirmed what my physical condition were showing: positive to leishmania. Thanks to the treatment I’m conducting a completely normal life!

Unlike other shelter friends, I got the chance to go into foster where I’m being educated. Here, I’ve demonstrated to be brilliant with people (kids, adults and old people). I love playing with the ball and other dogs. With cats I’m good too!

I do my necessities outside, on the leash I don’t pull at all. Positive reinforcements (cuddles, compliments, food) make me learn new commands/things in a really fast way. I can stay alone at home without causing any problems/damages for long hours.

For more information ask for my foster family, they will be happy to answer your questions.

20/8-22 Today Pipa went to the event in TiendaAnimal, this is her second event and Pipa did great – again! She was super attentive to her foster mum and sat calmly next to her, a very well-behaved girl ❤️

Pipa is available for adoption in the UK.  Homecheck and adoption fee apply. Adoption fee includes neutering, passport, microchip, all vaccinations, blood tests to screen for diseases, worm and flea treatment.
Adoption cost in Spain (if no transport required) 155€ for males and €165 for females.

Adoption costs to the UK £520, this includes all DEFRA paperwork and transport by DEFRA registered carrier(using the TRACES system) by road direct to your door. We sort all the arrangements for you.  For dogs brought to the UK by SSDUK to go on foster, adopters will still be required to pay the full adoption fee of £520 to cover the above expenses.

In some cases, for example a failed adoption of a dog already in the UK, the fee may be reduced to £320 where the initial transport costs from Spain have already been met. This is to cover transport within the UK, kennel fees and any checks required.
