POPIT – IT’S ALL IN THE EYES!

Popit is a pure podenco and has a very strong prey drive and therefore needs an experienced owner and cannot be homed with any small animals, including small dogs. This does not mean he cannot be homed happily and successfully but when walked he will need to stay on the lead or be muzzled when off the lead. He gets on very well with medium and large dogs and loves to play. He absolutely adores people and turns into a huge puppy when he gets love and affection. He is a stunning dog who would make a fabulous loving companion in the right home. He is a typical Podenco in that he is affectionate and would love to cuddle up on a sofa with his best human friend.

Life is not easy in a pound. He spends 23 hours a day on his own in a small cage and this is no life for a large active dog. He should really be out for walks on a lead, enjoying the countryside. We think Popit should only be homed in Spain as a large enclosed garden and an active outdoors life, with few distractions would suit him best.
